Chevrolet, though technically an American brand, does have quite a bit of a global presence. Case in point a new agreement between Chevrolet and the popular Manchester United football club (that's soccer, to us) stating that Chevrolet will debut its logo on the club's 2014-2015 season shirts.
And, in order to engage fans, Chevrolet is also setting out a call to action to its fans prompting them to get closer with a global "What Do You #PlayFor" campaign.
"Manchester United has more than 659 million supporters around the world, and we want them to know that we march side by side with them," says Tim Mahoney, chief marketing officer, Global Chevrolet. "We wanted to celebrate this new shirt with Manchester United supporters in an historic way because they deserve to be part of this important moment in club history."1

If you'd like to stay up to date with more Chevrolet news stories like this, then we at Landers McLarty Chevrolet in Huntsville, AL invite you to add our blog to your RSS reader.
We know it's only April, but at Landers McLarty Chevrolet Huntsville we believe it isn't too early to start thinking of what you want for the holidays. Okay, what has us thinking so far ahead? Well, we've just found out that at the end of 2014 (or early 2015) Chevrolet will be adding a small SUV to their new Chevrolet lineup.
The Chevrolet Trax has been available in Canada and overseas for 2 model years, but we're excited to see it being offered to Americans. Buyer's lover the build of an SUV, but many people are starting to look towards models that are of smaller statue.
It'll run on a 1.4L ECOTEC Turbocharged engine, have 48.4 cubic feet of cargo space, and an available 15 different storage areas. It's roomy, fun to drive, and passengers can stay well connected with the available 4G LTE hotspot.

Weather is far from perfect in Hunstville, Alabama but we're getting there...at least we keep telling ourselves that! It won't be long before it's the season for taking the "fun cars" out for an evening drive with friends and family. If you're looking for a summertime vehicle then stop by our dealership to test drive the 2014 Chevy Camaro.
This vehicle is known for its power. The Coupe model provides 323 horsepower, but for people who just need a little more punch the Camaro ZL1 brings 580 horses out to play. Whatever stable size you go with you'll have a good time in this car. Don't believe us? Watch this video to see what this model can tackle.
This was one of the most entertaining car pranks we've seen at Landers McLarty Chevrolet and we hope the salesman was able to laugh off his scary, once in a lifetime situation.
The Camaro is almost 40 years old. It was in production from 1966-2002 when it took an early retirement. Like many who stop working the Camaro got a little stir crazy and came back in 2010 with a completely new look, but the same level of power. It comes in 5 different trims and two of them are convertibles, which will really get your hair (or hat) billowing.
For more information on this iconic car you can stop at our dealership. We can show you the features and take you out on a test drive as long as you promise not to pull a stunt like that. Unless you're Jeff Gordon, in which case please go full throttle.
The SUV has had a roller coaster life. First it was revered for this big size and highway presence. Then it felt scorn due to its gas guzzling ways. For a while those who loved driving larger vehicles were forced to pay the high gas prices or trade down to smaller cars.
Thankfully, engineering is catching up, and while we love the influx of hybrid vehicles, like the Chevrolet Volt, we realize that some people enjoy the feeling of sitting on top of the world.
That's why at Landers McLarty Chevrolet we are pleased to announce changes that will take place with the 2015 Chevrolet Suburban. This upcoming model has been engineered so it will receive almost a 10% increase for fuel efficiency on the highway and nearly 7% increased efficiency in the city.
A 5.3L V8 engine gives the Suburban its kick and it pushes out 355hp and 383 lb-ft of torque. We're excited to see that this version is not only more powerful, but also better at the gas station. Inside drivers will find the Chevrolet MyLink system with an 8-inch touch screen display. A push button start will be a standard feature. Power seats that fold flat for more cargo space are one of the many optional additions.
Changes to the wheelbase have been implanted as well, giving more space to those sitting in the third row; road trips got a little bit comfier for everyone. Take a look at this video to find out more information on the new Suburban, as well as its little sibling the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe.
