Here at Landers McLarty Chevrolet, we're big fans of the 2014 Chevrolet Sonic, whether in its sedan body style or hatchback.
The Sonic offers our Huntsville, Alabama area drivers a spacious and comfortable cabin, equipped with numerous standard features like Bluetooth, OnStar emergency communications, and keyless entry.
But pro-skater and reality TV star, Rob Dyrdek, has other reasons to favor the Chevy.
He enhanced his Sonic with various Chevrolet auto parts and accessories, including a roll cage, racing seats, and a fuel cell. Why did Dyrdek opt for the overhaul?
It wasn't to create a Sonic with groundbreaking performance, but to build a Chevy with record-breaking skills.
Following the alterations, Dyrdek took the Chevrolet hatchback off a ramp to land the Guiness Book of World Records' "Farthest Reverse Ramp Jump by a Car"-- an impressive 89 feet and 3.25 inches. Watch him in action here:
We know many of our customers in the Huntsville, AL area have been on the edge of their seats, in anticipation of any details surrounding the all-new upcoming Chevrolet Cruze.
We've already seen a few snaps of the 2015 Cruze, but not enough to discern important elements of the car. However, we're back after catching the Chevy cruising in less camouflage than before.
Consequentially, we are able to relay new information about the forthcoming model.
First off, we now can see how Chevy shaped its bold two-part grille. We can also observe its fresh set of foglights. While stickers still cover much of the lights' details, we see that they are slimmer than those of its predecessor.
In the Cruze's rearside, its taillights showcase some signature Chevy flair. These latest spy shots also reveal a streamlined rear diffuser.
We caught our first glimpse of the Chevrolet Cruze's interior in past pictures, but its innovative and upgraded cabin deserves more attention. For starters, the sedan is equipped with a larger touchscreen display. It sits under a stitched dashboard, next to a redesigned steering wheel.
You'll also notice less clutter on the Cruze's dash, which has fewer buttons to fidget with. Overall, this cockpit is clean, user-friendly, and convenient.
Itching to see more of the 2015 Chevrolet Cruze? We'll both have to wait a bit longer before the automaker pulls back all of the sedan's camouflage, which is slated for a 2015 launch. In the meantime, there are plenty of new Chevy models to test drive and enjoy, right here at our dealership, Landers McLarty Chevrolet.
