The SUV has had a roller coaster life. First it was revered for this big size and highway presence. Then it felt scorn due to its gas guzzling ways. For a while those who loved driving larger vehicles were forced to pay the high gas prices or trade down to smaller cars.
Thankfully, engineering is catching up, and while we love the influx of hybrid vehicles, like the Chevrolet Volt, we realize that some people enjoy the feeling of sitting on top of the world.
That's why at Landers McLarty Chevrolet we are pleased to announce changes that will take place with the 2015 Chevrolet Suburban. This upcoming model has been engineered so it will receive almost a 10% increase for fuel efficiency on the highway and nearly 7% increased efficiency in the city.
A 5.3L V8 engine gives the Suburban its kick and it pushes out 355hp and 383 lb-ft of torque. We're excited to see that this version is not only more powerful, but also better at the gas station. Inside drivers will find the Chevrolet MyLink system with an 8-inch touch screen display. A push button start will be a standard feature. Power seats that fold flat for more cargo space are one of the many optional additions.
Changes to the wheelbase have been implanted as well, giving more space to those sitting in the third row; road trips got a little bit comfier for everyone. Take a look at this video to find out more information on the new Suburban, as well as its little sibling the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe.
